DuPont Electronics & Imaging broke ground Tuesday on a $220 million expansion project at the company’s Circleville, OH production plant. The event was attended by a variety of government officials and leaders and employees of DuPont

“We remain very excited about how this expansion and increased capacity will enable us to better support our global customers and their need for advanced high-reliability materials,” said Jon Kemp, President, DuPont Electronics & Imaging, in a press release. “This groundbreaking ceremony is an important milestone and we are pleased to have such great support from the local community to mark the occasion.”

The project will add production capabilities for DuPont Kapton polyimide film and DuPont Pyralux flexible circuit materials for end users in the consumer electronics, automotive, defense, and telecom industries.

“This investment represents the strength of DuPont and the great working relationship the company has in Ohio and local communities,” said Donald McIlroy, Mayor of Circleville, in the releae. “Pickaway County and the City of Circleville thank DuPont and their employees for producing products that literally change the world.”

The new assets are slated to be operational by 2021.
