Franklin Miller debuts the new Taskmaster QS quad shaft shredder.Franklin Miller
The Taskmaster QS quad shaft shredder by Franklin Miller is engineered to meet the demands of the most challenging applications. This unit has four shafts that work together with a special sizing screen to reduce materials to a uniform output particle size.
The QS2300 features hardened precision cutters, a special sizing screen, planetary reducers, optional stand and hopper, rugged hex shafts and gears, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
At the heart of its design lies a low-speed, high-torque functionality, ensuring optimal processing performance across a wide range of materials. From bulky waste to industrial by-products, the QS adeptly handles ripping, tearing, and shredding with unparalleled precision.
Developed to help food, dairy, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other processors upgrade their contamination control capabilities, the retrofit kit adds an automated monitoring device to rotary valves in service that detects any metal-to-metal contact between the valve rotor and housing and, if detected, instantly shuts down power to the drive motor.
The potential for fine, metal particles to contaminate the products and ingredients is virtually eliminated while the rotor, seals, bearings, and other components are protected from damage.
The InfraLab at-line top loader is based on the same proven platform of the other InfraLab analyzers but boasts an upwards IR optical arrangement enabling controlled sample presentation.
The top loader simultaneously measures moisture, oil/fat, protein, and color (DOR for coffee) and reduces variations due to evaporation or pickup. It is ideal for powders or ground products, beans, grains, and semi-solids. It allows for rapid analyses (five seconds) in process environments, replacing time-consuming laboratory or at-line instruments such as loss-on-drying.
With greater processing power and measurement capability, the new InfraLab top loader delivers deeper process insight into the operation, and reduction in a company's operating expenses.
The Interceptor-FV explosion isolation flap valve is a passive solution that automatically closes during a deflagration event, effectively stopping flame and pressure propagation in pipelines.
The flap valve goes above and beyond regulatory requirements and meets EN 16447 approval and complies with NFPA 69. The flap valve includes an NFPA-required integrated dust accumulation sensor that warns the operator when valve requires cleaning and an access door that facilitates dust removal, maintenance, and inspection.
The flap valve suits either pressure or vacuum systems and is approved for handling metal dusts and ST 2 materials. Its mechanically held flap only closes during an event, allowing the valve to be installed vertically, horizontally, or at an angle for application flexibility.
The Portland Co. and Haver & Boekcer are offering the world’s first assemble to order (ATO) packing equipment product line, with the Panthera-Packer PVT packer.
This predefined rotary packing machine provides a standardized approach to filling industrial bulk materials in valve bags that range from 25 to 50 kg in size. Designed with robust and proven slide gate dosing technology, the Panthera-Packer PVT is a high-quality, yet quick and cost-effective bag filling solution, designed with state-of-the-art components for the cement and building materials industries. The Portland Co.’s ATO approach is ideal for plants that require quick installation without additional customizations.
The Panthera-Packer PVT is available in configurations of 8, 12, or 16 spouts in a simplified design that is easy to operate and maintain. The eight-spout model has the capacity to fill up to 3,000 bags per hour depending on the bag size and material to be bagged. Dedusting at the spout expels contaminants and a well-proven dosing sliding gate ensures accurate dosing of material and a clean filling process. A specially designed three-position cylinder provides the precision at the heart of the filling system.
