The TA-CSF circular support fixture is available for the CT3 texture analyzer. The circular support fixture is designed to support irregular items like fresh fruit while texture tests are performed. In this example, an apple is seated in the TA-CSF while a TA-MTP Magness-Taylor probe is used to measure firmness. Brookfield works with customers to develop consistent testing methodologies, even for irregular shaped items. The CT3 tester is a stand-alone instrument that combines simplicity of operation with expanded test method capability, and operates in both compression and tension modes. A variety of standard probes, (cones, cylinders, blades, balls, punches) and fixtures (extrusion cell, shear cell, grips, etc.) are available for a range of applications. TexturePro CT software enables the operator to automate the test procedures and generate valuable analytical data.
